How to Become a Better Person

There is always room for improvement! People are constantly looking for ways to better themselves as a person, whether they want to improve on certain tasks or just mentally. Here are some tips to improve yourself as a whole!
1. Gratitude
This one has probably been said a thousand times, but here is a twist! Everyday, write down something you are grateful for specific to that day. Researchers have proven that incorporating gratitude into daily life can help reduce stress, improve sleep, and cultivate positive relationships! Just 5 minutes a day, and you’ll feel much better!
2. Hello!
Say hello to new people! I know it is strange to talk to strangers, but trust me on this one. When you nod or smile to strangers passing by or a say a simple “good morning” to someone, you will feel accomplished. You made someone smile! Life is about smiling and laughter, so take the chance to make someone’s day!
3. Zzz

SLEEP!!! SLEEP!!! SLEEP!!! Sleep is key in life, so why not do it often? Try to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night. Sleep helps improve production and overall attitude for the next day. Take a moment to let your brain relax throughout the night, and don’t be working overtime. Your brain needs to relax and so do you!
4. Clean?

This one is an odd one, but hey, they all have a purpose. Cleaning? Yes! You heard me right. The way your environment is can influence your productive ability. For the next 30 minutes, try to get some cleaning chores done, whether it is doing the dishes, or dusting, or even wiping your mirrors, it doesn’t matter. Reward yourself with a clean and refreshed space.
5. Meals!

Food has a big impact on your life, so why not enjoy it as you eat? Take some time out of your day to make a meal for yourself that is enjoyable. Sit down, and live in those delicious flavors, soak in all the spices your tongue tastes. This is called mindful eating, it gives you a chance to check in with both your physical feeling and your emotions. It is like a scrumptious mind clearer!
In the end, being a better person is always a struggle. We all want to be perfect, but we can’t. So, instead of aiming for perfection, aim for improvement. Hey, at least you are trying, but the main goal is to keep smiling! :)
